Description

The DESMOFLEX® CATALYST is a reaction accelerator suitable for use in combination with DESMOFLEX® PU. It is used when the application will take place at low temperatures, when a thicker layer is required or to reduce the waiting time between the application of each layer. With the addition of the DESMOFLEX® CATALYST, the homogenous polymerization of the waterproofing membrane is accelerated and as a result, the next layer can be applied after 4-5 h, even in conditions of low humidity. At the same time, the formation of air bubbles is prevented, and mechanical strength is increased.

Application Steps

Step 1

Stir the DESMOFLEX® CATALYST then add 3% w/w to the quantity of DESMOFLEX® PU which will be applied.

Step 2

Stir the mixture with the help of a drilling machine (300 rpm), for 2-3 minutes until it becomes homogenous. During stirring, the drill should be moved close to the walls and bottom of the vessel in order to evenly distribute the accelerator in the mixture.

Step 3

The mixture should be used immediately after mixing and within 15 - 25 min on the properly prepared surface. After this time the mixture shall be discarded.
