Terrace waterproofing with acrylic based membrane (slopped)

What do we need?

Where are designed inclinations  on the concrete slab , we should protect the concrete from moisture to avoid further problems  at the surface of the concrete slab ( terrace ) or on the ceiling of the house ( from the bottom of the roof ) .

How do we do it?

Because cracks on terraces and much more connections between surfaces show contraction for the insulation  used brushable, elastomeric waterproofing membrane FLX 380 ROOF SEALER.

Step by step

  • Remove loose from the concrete slab.
  • Wash and remove any molds and algae that have been developed to the plate surface.
  • Prime all surfaces with high penetration  acrylic primer GLX 292 FLEX Prim. Large cracks (> 5 mm) and gaps close with fiber reinforced repairing mortar WRM 525. At the corners of the barriers to the plate, creating with WRM 518 appropriate curve so as not to gather the water to this point. When surfaces thoroughly dry,  apply with a roller in two layers crosswise, brushable, elastomeric waterproofing membrane FLX 380 ROOF SEALER. First coat is applied diluted with 20-30 % water.
  • If loads of moisture is expected to be larger then apply a third coat. Each layer is applied over the preceding when it is dry. The application of the material should be avoided when rain is forecast for the following day of application.
  • The surfaces that have been applied with waterproofing emulsion FLX 380 ROOF SEALER allowed to have only slight patency.
