Terrace waterproofing with acrylic based membrane (level)

What do we need?

In cases where there are no inclinations  formed on the concrete slab, we have the phenomenon of standing water whenever there is rainfall. We should protect the concrete from moisture to avoid further problems  at the surface of the concrete slab (terrace) or on the ceiling of the house ( from the bottom of the roof).

How do we do it?

To protect the surface from the standing  water, we should apply the hybrid waterproofing membrane FLX 385 HYBRID.

  • Remove loose from the concrete slab.
  • Wash and remove any molds and algae that have been developed to the plate surface.
  • Prime all surfaces with high penetration  acrylic primer GLX 292 FLEX Prim. Large cracks (> 5 mm) and gaps close with fiber reinforced repairing mortar WRM 525. At the corners of the barriers to the plate, creating with WRM 518 appropriate curve so as not to gather the water to this point. When surfaces thoroughly dry,  apply with a roller in two layers crosswise, brushable, elastomeric hybrid waterproofing membrane FLX 385 HYBRID. First coat is applied diluted with 20-30 % water.
  • If loads of moisture is expected to be larger then apply a third coat. Each layer is applied over the preceding when it is dry. The application of the material should be avoided when rain is forecast for the following day of application.
  • The surfaces that have been applied with hybrid waterproofing emulsion FLX 385 HYBRID allowed to have only slight patency.
