Concrete Façade Tilings
What do we need?
The surfaces of concrete is sufficiently smooth with low absorbency thereby hinder the adhesion of decorative tiles.
How do we do it?
Preparing the substrate by one of the acrylic primer GLX 290 or GLX 190 impregnated concrete and provides an excellent bonding primer for the adhesive.

Step by step
- Substrate must be clean, stable and free of oils and other contaminants.
- Remove with a tool mud, adhesives and any residues from previous work. Additionally clean and if necessary wash the wall.
- Remove any surplus water and leave the wall to dry prior of the product application.
- Prime the concrete surface with acrylic primer GLX 290 diluted with water at a ratio of water: GLX 290 = 1: 4 and after 2-6 hours affixed decorative tiles with class T THRAKON adhesives according to EN 12004 which exhibit resistance to tile slipping.
- If we have very smooth surfaces which we want to cover, for example visible concrete, recommended the application of the substrate with acrylic primer GLX 190.
- The product is ready to use and contains quartz sand which creates mechanical grip conditions even in the most difficult substrates (eg old tiling, metal surface, PVC, etc.) .
