DESMOFLEX® FIBER FIX
Description
DESMOFLEX® FIBER FIX is a fiber-reinforced, polyurethane, liquid waterproofing one-component membrane with high thixotropy and elasticity. It polymerizes with the environment’s humidity, forming a single membrane without bubbles. It is intended, for use as a spreadable sealant, for long term roofs, terraces and floor connections’ waterproofing, as well as on points that should be covered detail. Its unique composition of elastomeric, hydrophobic polyurethane resin and inorganic chemical additives, makes it resistant to chemical and thermal attack, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, in severe weather conditions, while giving it excellent mechanical properties, so that it can easily cope with various mechanical stresses.
Application Fields
- DESMOFLEX® FIBER FIX is suitable for waterproofing details on roofs, terraces and joints between floors. More specifically, it is appropriate for joints between wall-floor, at angles up to 90°, pipes, skylights, ventilation, chimneys, bases of air conditioning units, pipettes, gutters, luminaires, photovoltaic and solar systems. In addition, it is suitable for sealing details in large technical pro-jects with high requirements. Furthermore, it can be used between different materials such as wood, ceramics, various types of metals and alloys, concrete, ce-ment mortars and cement pastes, PVC and EPDM films, acrylic coatings, tarpaulins, polyurethane foams, etc.

Application Steps
Stir the contents of the container well with a stick and slowly before use until a ho-mogeneous mixture is formed. Do not use a mechanical stirrer.
Step 2Apply the product to the primed surface with a brush or brush until the desired area is covered. After 18-36 hours, the second hand is performed crosswise.
Step 3While the material is still fresh and to prevent it from slipping, apply quartz sand with a maximum grain of 2 mm.
Step 4For excellent results, cover the whole waterproofed surface with one layer of the elastic protection paint DESMOFLEX® TOP COAT. The use of DESMOFLEX® TOP COAT is recommended especially when applied dark colours exposed to the sunlight (after 12-24 hours of DESMOFLEX® FIBER FIX). In case of the surface is going to accept heavy circulation of pedestrians (e.g. stadium shuttles), apply two layers.
